Turkey's opposition holds march amid tight security

Security has been tight as thousands of people joined a march organised by Turkey's main opposition party, the Republican People's Party (CHP).

The protest, now on its 22nd day, began when an MP for the party was arrested for allegedly leaking documents purporting to show the Turkish government arming jihadists in Syria, which he denies.

But it has become a wider uprising against what participants see as an erosion of democracy under President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
