Biden inauguration: EU's von der Leyen welcomes 'friend in White House'

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has said the EU is ready for a new start with the US.

She has told the European Parliament that the relief many were feeling about the change of administration "should not blind us" to the fact that Donald Trump's presidency may be history but his movement is not.
