Views sought on Jersey and Guernsey finance ombudsman
- Published
People in Jersey and Guernsey are to be asked for their views on the creation of a financial ombudsman for the Channel Islands.
Guernsey's Commerce and Employment Department and Jersey's Economic Development Department have been working on areas for co-operation.
Now they are consulting on setting up the office of financial ombudsman for the Channel Islands.
The ombudsman would consider complaints about financial services.
Closer ties between Guernsey's Office of Utility Regulation and Jersey's competition watchdog are seen as evidence of the benefits of co-operation.
