Guernsey Post remembers Peter Pan author JM Barrie

The stamps include images from the only official sequel
Guernsey Post has celebrated 150 years since the birth of the creator of Peter Pan by releasing a special stamp issue.
JM Barrie was born on 9 May 1860 in Kirriemuir, Angus, Scotland, and is best remembered for the play Peter Pan or The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up.
The six Alderney stamps include images from Peter Pan in Scarlet by Geraldine McCaughrean published in 2006.
A miniature sheet featuring the cover of the 2007 issue of JM Barrie's original novel has also been released.
Dawn Gallienne, head of philatelic at Guernsey Post, said: "I am thrilled that we have been able to celebrate the life of JM Barrie who created what many consider to be one of the greatest and most influential fictional characters of all time."
Mrs McCaughrean's book is the only official sequel to Barrie's novel Peter Pan and Wendy, which was sanctioned by Great Ormond Street Hospital to which the author gifted the rights to Peter Pan in 1929.
