House prices continue to rise in Guernsey

The average price of a local market Guernsey house has increased year on year, according to the latest figures.

The price of the median average local market property from July to September was £375,250, a rise of 8.9% on a year earlier.

There were 250 sales, up 10% on the same period in 2009.

Fifteen open market properties, habitable by those without the right to live in the island, were sold with a median average price of £1.2m.
