'Time running out' for Guernsey waste solution

Time is running out to find a waste solution for Guernsey, the deputy minister of Public Services has admitted.
The latest in a series of public drop-in events took place over the weekend seeking the views of islanders on the best way to deal with rubbish.
U-turns over two previous strategies have cost the island about £12m.
Deputy Scott Ogier said: "It's the last time we can go around the block and we have to come up with a solution."
He said by involving the public in the process hopefully this solution would succeed where its predecessors had not.
Deputy Ogier said: "The last two times we've brought forward a solution it's been governments secreting itself away and coming up with a solution.
"Unveiling it at the last minute, a surprise trumpet and fanfare and saying dah, dah what do you think of this - that just hasn't worked."
