Guernsey hospital introduces dental x-rays charge

The States of Guernsey has agreed the introduction of a £50 charge for patients who have dental x-rays at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital.
Health and Social Services Minister Hunter Adam said dentists who do not own their own equipment can currently refer patients free of charge.
He said the fee would make the situation fairer for all practices and patients.
Deputy Adam said it was expected to raise £40,000 in its first 12 months.
The island has no States-funded adult dentistry service.
