Guernsey Police put more officers on beat

  • Published

More officers on the beat should help prevent crime, Guernsey Police say after launching a new Neighbourhood Policing Scheme.

Officers will be assigned to specific areas of the island and spend much of their time patrolling on foot.

Sgt Amanda Randall said the new team would be in close contact with the people who live and work on their beat.

She said the officers would work with the parish douzaines and the schools in their area.
