Island Coachways' managing director blamed 'unforeseen mechanical issues' for the disruption

Guernsey's bus users have faced delays after Island Coachways announced 29 services had been disrupted.

Hannah Beacom, the company's managing director, said the problems were due to "unforeseen mechanical issues".

There was confusion about the services affected, after the company released a list that did not tally with the company's timetable.

Mrs Beacom apologised for the error and said positioning times had been given instead of departure times.

The company later reinstated some of the cancelled Wednesday services but warned that further disruption was expected on Thursday and Friday.

Island Coachways said it would continue to update its list of cancellations, external.
