Guernsey Police disciplinary code agreed by States

Final approval has been given to a new disciplinary code for members of the Guernsey Police force.

The States has agreed new regulations including the procedures to be followed in the event of an issue being brought to a new Police Complaints Commission.

The commission will be an independent body overseeing complaints made against the local force.

Home Minister Geoff Mahy said it should increase accountability and public confidence in law enforcement.
