Guernsey sees 85% drop in rain between Novembers

Guernsey saw a decrease of about 85% in rainfall in November, compared with the same month in 2010, official figures have shown.

Just 31.7mm of rain fell this November. In November 2010, the island saw almost 189mm of rain.

December was shaping up to be wetter, the figures revealed, with almost 78mm of rain in the first two weeks alone.

The island's reservoirs were at 72% of capacity at the end of November, Guernsey Water said.
