Guernsey's Bailiff encourages Jubilee celebrations

Guernsey's Bailiff has encouraged residents to show their pride in the Royal Family during the Queen's diamond jubilee celebrations in June.

Sir Geoffrey Rowland said he had worked with local businesses to encourage flag displays for a visit by Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.

Sir Geoffrey will step down from the role of Bailiff later this month.

He said he would be "more than happy" to celebrate the diamond jubilee as a spectator, rather than as an official.
