Guernsey Finance has announced it will have a new chief executive from July.

Peter Niven, who has held the post for six years, is standing down and being replaced by his deputy, Fiona Le Poidevin.

The company is responsible for marketing the island's finance industry in other jurisdictions.

Miss Le Poidevin said: "I am looking forward to the challenges that this presents, not least in view of the difficult economic conditions."
