Guernsey water reserves are at 100%, says water firm

Guernsey's water reserves are at 100% of capacity, according to a report.

Guernsey Water's December supply report showed about 4,500 megalitres of water were stored in the island's reservoirs.

The report said that rainfall for December was 40% above the seasonal average, and 415 megalitres of water had been collected from local streams.

Guernsey Water said the month had seen some flash flooding, and further heavy rainfall could lead to more cases of localised flooding.
