Guernsey Admiral Park initial plans approved

Plans for a development at Admiral Park including a cinema and an underground car park have been given in principle.
Guernsey's Environment Department approved the outline plans, which involve a shop, restaurant, creche and a seven-storey building.
Developers Comprop will work up detailed plans, which will also need to be approved before building begins.
The company has already built offices, residences and two large retail units on neighbouring sites.
Zef Eisenberg, who represented the landlord of the retail units, raised concerns about a lack of parking compared to the size of the development.
The plans were passed unanimously by four of the board's political members after the environment minister abstained due to a conflict of interest.
