A Victorian fort has been damaged after severe weather battered the Channel Islands.

Fort Clonque in Alderney suffered structural damage and several island roads have been flooded.

Sea defences at Corblets and Longis have also been damaged by large waves and strong winds.

In Guernsey, the severe weather removed stones from Castle Emplacement. Elsewhere, a fallen tree has blocked a road in Les Prevosts in St Saviours.
