Guernsey recycling 'still causing confusion'

  • Published

People in Guernsey are still confused about a £2.5m kerbside recycling scheme, a States officer says.

The Public Services Department (PSD) is due to start a two-year trial next month.

Recycling officer Tina Norman-Ross said the most commonly asked question was what day waste would be collected.

She said residents would have all the details after they received information packs, which were still being sent out "for the next next week or so".

She said: "Everybody should have all the information they need by 10 March".

The trial is part of the PSD's efforts to get 70% of household rubbish recycled by 2025.

Some residents have criticised the cost of the £2.5m scheme, though.
