Review into Guernsey harbour charges announced

A new system of harbour tariffs could be introduced, Guernsey's harbour master has said.
Capt Chad Murray said the port's budget is a standalone one and it would have to pay for a new roll-on, roll-off ramp for disabled access.
He said he is reviewing an increase in charges for using the harbours.
Mr Murray said: "We're having to review our charging structure; how we're charging commercial operators and how we charge our locals."
He said he would also need to investigate whether it was possible to "make better returns on the properties we manage and the areas around the harbour".
Guernsey Harbours published its Ports Master Plan in 2013 which set out the future development of St Peter Port and St Sampson's harbours over 25 years.
The main priorities for the plans included a new deep-water berth and better facilities for commercial fishermen.
