Guernsey broadband service is 'improving'

The quality of broadband services in Guernsey is "improving", according to a survey by the telecoms regulator.

Five-hundred islanders were asked for their views on the two broadband operators Sure and JT.

In May 29% rated Sure as satisfactory but that was up to 51% from November. JT saw about a third rate them satisfactory in both surveys.

The biannual survey is produced by the Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities (CICRA).

CICRA director, Louise Read, said: "I would like to see both operators improve and for there to be a race to the top for the benefit of customers.

"Both of the operators are happy to compete to win more business and hopefully the consumers will gravitate to where they are most happy."
