Guernsey families invited to first Joyous Childhood event

A wide range of stalls and activities will be on offer with the sessions being held at Beau Sejour on Saturday

Families in Guernsey have been invited to attend the islands first 'Joyous Childhood' family event.

The event is aimed at children under the age of five, but the States of Guernsey said there would be plenty of fun for all.

A wide range of stalls and activities will be on offer with the sessions being held at Beau Sejour on Saturday.

Running from 09:30 to 12:30 GMT, the events will be focussed on development and keeping children healthy.

Ruth Sharp, head of early years, said: "We're hoping this is going to be a really well-attended and fun event."

She added: "We want to celebrate the early years and support all parents to help their children thrive."
