Ramsey Hospital receives £1.1m donation

An Isle of Man hospital has received an early Christmas present in the form of a £1.1m donation.

Ramsey Cottage Hospital plans to use the money to refurbish a 31-bed inpatient ward.

The donation from the Martin Estate was handed over in a ceremony on Wednesday evening.

Health Minister David Anderson and Minister for Education and Children Eddie Teare attended the event along with trustees of the hospital.
