Isle of Man Government IT use under scrutiny

  • Published

Manx Government spending on information technology (IT) projects will come under scrutiny later this week.

A three-man Tynwald Committee will hear evidence on whether the investment in certain projects was value for money.

The committee is chaired by Rushen MHK Quintin Gill, and includes Malew and Santon MHK Graham Cregeen and Dudley Butt MLC.

The first public hearing takes place in the chambers of the Legislative Council on Thursday.

The committee will hear from representatives of the Department of Health, the Department of Economic Development, and the Department of Education and Children, and on the same day next week it will question a representative of the Department of Social Care.
