Isle of Man bikers die after Mountain Road crashes

Two bikers have died after crashes on the Isle of Man's Mountain Road.

One rider suffered a serious injury in a crash at Grahams Memorial at 1340 BST on Friday. He was taken to Nobles Hospital but has died.

A second rider suffered fatal injuries at Brandywell Corner at about 0810 BST on Saturday.

Both riders are understood to be from the UK but police said they could not release any more information until their next-of-kin had been informed.

Insp Mark Britton, of Isle of Man Police, said after the latest crash: "This is the third collision on public roads which has ended in fatality.

"Unless riders slow down and take more care for their actions, it will not be the last this TT."

Saturday marks the first day of TT racing, following a week of practice sessions.

Anyone with any information about either crash is asked to contact police.
