Isle of Man parking fines to increase

  • Published

Parking fines in the Isle of Man are set to increase by 50% next month, says the government.

The current penalty of £40 will go up to £60 from 1 August.

Fines for more serious offences such as speeding, licence breaches and leaving a vehicle in a dangerous position will go up from £80 to £120.

A spokesman from the highways department said the fixed penalties were last set in 2002 and the changes were "broadly in line with inflation".
