Isle of Man church's new cathedral status marked in celebration

Around 200 people attended a service at a Catholic church on the Isle of Man as its cathedral status was confirmed.

The service meant the Church of Saint Mary of the Isle in Douglas has now officially become the co-cathedral to Liverpool's Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King.

That partnership, which was granted by Pope Francis, is the first of its kind in the British Isles.
