A footbridge connecting the Isle of Man's national museum to a major city centre car park in the capital is to shut for maintenance.

The elevated crossing linking the top of Chester Street car park with the Manx Museum will be closed on Friday for resurfacing works to continue.

The bridge over Mona Terrace was originally closed in September to allow the laying of the new surface to begin.

The infrastructure department said the walkway would reopen on Saturday.
