Isle of Man's capital sparkles at Christmas lights switch-on

The annual Christmas lights switch-on in the Isle of Man's capital has been watched by thousands of people.

The high street was packed with families from across the island waiting to see the moment the lights flicked on in the centre of Douglas.

The festive celebrations, organised Douglas Council, also marked the start of late-night shopping.
