Passenger and freight sailings between the Isle of Man and Lancashire are back up and running after cancellations on Tuesday.

The Manxman set sail from Douglas to Heysham at 08:40 GMT, with its return due to depart at 14:15.

It followed four days of disruption to crossings caused by gales brought by Storm Isha and Storm Jocelyn.

The island was hit by gusts of up to 60mph (97km/h) on Tuesday evening and overnight.

Due to the extended period of disruption, only two of the Manxman's return trips to Heysham sailed between Friday night and Tuesday.
