Jersey children have more help in the Royal Court

The new service will act on behalf of children
A new service has been set up in Jersey's Royal Court to work with children involved in non-criminal matters.
The Jersey Family Court Advisory Service has been set up following the Williamson Review of Children's Services in Jersey.
Until now probation and child care officers have acted on behalf of children.
Separate social workers will now oversee matters.
Chief Probation Officer Brian Heath said one example of their function will be when parents get divorced.
He said: "When parents are divorcing and can't agree about arrangements for their children, it is the service's social workers who will be preparing the report for the court with a recommendation about what should happen in the best interest of the child."
