St Helier Millennium Park plans on display in Jersey
- Published
Plans for a long-awaited park in Jersey have been submitted for planning approval and can now be viewed by islanders.
It is hoped work on the Millennium Town Park at Gas Place in St Helier will begin in January.
The £10m park will include water features, sheltered areas for relaxation, a children's play area and sport facilities.
The plans can be seen online or at the South Hill planning offices.
There have been talks about a new park in the town for more than 10 years.
The site in Gas Place is currently a car park, but hoardings have been erected in anticipation of planning approval.
The States has put aside £50,000 for artistic features which will be installed before the park is opened at the end of next year.
