Jersey Roman artefacts displayed in church

  • Published

Roman artefacts which were found under a Jersey church during work to build an extension have gone on display.

The pieces, which include pottery remains, were discovered when excavations were made at Grouville Church as part of the building project.

In the meantime, the extension itself has been opened.

It is a whitewashed granite building attached to the traditional raw granite finish of the original church. It features a kitchen and new toilets.
