Jersey's Highlands College sees big rise in students

  • Published

The number of students enrolling for further education at Highlands College in Jersey has risen nearly four-fold over the past 20 years.

Just over a 1,000 full-time places will be filled in September.

The college said employers seeking more skilled workers were pushing up the age people left school.

Highlands has also expanded into higher education by offering university degrees with two new foundation degrees at the University of Plymouth.
