Tickets for one of Jersey's largest events, the Jersey Live music festival, will go on sale on Sunday.

The event, now in its eighth year, will see acts like Madness, Plan B, Zane Lowe and Mr Oizo perform.

The festival sold out for the first time in September 2010 since increasing capacity to 10,000.

Festival organiser Warren Le Sueur said he expected the event to sell out even earlier this year.

Mr Le Sueur said: "With last year's sell-out, we're obviously anticipating it will sell out even quicker this year so I'd urge people to get their tickets quick to avoid missing out."

Most of the line-up for the 2011 festival, taking place on 3 and 4 September at the Royal Jersey Showground in Trinity, has already been confirmed.

Weekend tickets are £88 for adults, with a single day costing £56.

Children's tickets are £10 for the weekend or £5 for a single day with the proceeds from children's tickets donated to the CLIC Sargent children's charity.

In 2010 Jersey Live raised £5,565 for NSPCC Pathway's from the sale of Children's tickets at the festival.

The Jersey Live line-up so far is: Madness, Plan B, The Streets, Zane Lowe, Mr Oizo, DJ Sasha, Cage the Elephant, Santigold, Nero, Katy B, Pony Pony Run Run, Wretch 32, The Beat, Ed Sheeran, Danny Byrd and Dynamite MC, Jamie Woon, Maverick Sabre, Toddla T & MC Serocee, Breakage, Huw Stephens, The Little Big Band, The Bloody Battle, The Tracys and Hold Your Fire.
