Changes to Jersey's summer bus timetable withdrawn

After listening to concerns from local bus users, some planned changes to the summer bus timetable have been withdrawn.

A number of islanders said they were worried about moving the second journey on the number four service to a 0930 BST departure.

The Transport Minister, Constable Mike Jackson, said it would stay the same as the winter, leaving at 0900 BST.

The new timetable comes into effect on Sunday.

There will be an extra journey to Bouley Bay leaving St Helier at 0725 BST.

Other changes include some new evening and Sunday journeys, more frequent buses and later services on the number 12 to Portelet and Corbiere.

The number three bus to Rozel will now have more services which run on a one-way loop between the bay, La Route des Cotes du Nord and the St Martin's Arsenal.

Passengers are being advised to check the new timetables which will be available soon at Liberation Station and online.
