Ministers are visiting Israel to promote trade and investment with Jersey.

The Minister for Economic Development and Foreign Minister say Jersey is "open for business".

Meetings are planned with Israeli Finance and Environment Ministries to talk about opening a stock exchange in Tel Aviv and to discuss e-gaming.

They will discuss the potential for clean technology investment in Jersey as a base for European operations.

Senator Freddie Cohen said: "Diversification is one of the important pillars of our economic growth plan and the clean technology sector holds a number of interesting opportunities for investment in Jersey."

The delegation includes the Economic Development Minister, Senator Alan Maclean; the Assistant Chief Minister, Senator Freddie Cohen; the Chief Executive of Jersey Finance and representatives from Jersey's business and legal sectors.

Senator Cohen is leading the delegation to the Holy Land, a week after it was revealed in the States he had been subjected to anti-semitic abuse.
