Jersey Airport is to increase parking charges

  • Published

The cost of parking at Jersey Airport is set to increase by 10p, to 70p-per half-hour, from September.

Terminal and security manager, Steve Read, said it was the first time the cost of parking had gone up since May 2009.

He said the airport "needed to maintain a fair balance between aviation and non-aviation income".

The area alongside the access road leading to the departures terminal will remain a designated free pick-up zone.

Mr Read said this allows drivers up to 10 minutes free waiting time.

Under the changes, which will come into force on 1 September, it will cost 70p-per-half-hour in the short stay car park and 70p-per-hour in long stay.
