Jersey's winter bus timetable will have extra routes

There will be evening buses to country parishes and a Sunday service to St Peter and St Ouen, the transport minister has said.

The changes are part of the winter bus schedule proposed to start in early October.

More buses are being put on at peak times, as well as in the evenings, early mornings and Sundays.

Constable Mike Jackson thinks people will approve of the changes but has asked for comments and feedback.

There will be changes to the commuter routes going through St Clement, Grouville and Gorey Pier.

The 9, 25 and 27 buses which serve the north of the island will have added evening and early-morning services.

Mr Jackson said: "My aim is to enhance services where people have indicated that there is a need.

"I am proposing extra early morning, late evening and Sunday journeys on many services, and I hope that these will be well received by the travelling public."

The winter bus schedule starts on 2 October.
