Jersey census data to show where people are from

The government will publish more information about the people living in Jersey on Thursday.

Data will show where residents were born, how long they have lived in Jersey and whether they have housing qualifications.

The information is part of the second census bulletin from the States.

The first break-down of the census statistics released last week showed 97,857 people where living in the island as of March.

The figures showed that in the last decade the population had increased by 10,000.

Future census bulletins will be based on education and transport.
