Jersey Airport opens early every morning for the newspaper and mail plane

There will be no Mirror or Guardian media group newspapers in Jersey on Wednesday.

A spokesman for Jersey's newspaper arrivals said the papers were printed late and missed the early morning flight to the island.

Titles affected include the Daily Mirror and The Guardian.

Jersey Airport is paid about £350,000 a year to open early for the mail and newspaper plane which delivers national newspapers to the island.

They are then distributed around the island by Jersey Distribution, a trading division of Jersey Evening Post Limited.
