Discussions are to be held about Jersey and Guernsey's relationship with the UK.

Ministers from both islands will take part in the All-Party Parliamentary Channel Islands Group at the House of Commons on 12 March.

Renewable energy and financial services are two topics due to be discussed.

Jersey's Chief Minister, Senator Ian Gorst, will also meet Chinese Ambassador Liu Xiaoming to talk about the China-Jersey relationship.

Senator Gorst said: "The briefing at the House of Commons will be a good opportunity for both islands to engage with UK MPs on a number of issues and to hear their views on the current and future relationship between the UK and Jersey and Guernsey."

Assistant Chief Minister, Sir Philip Bailhache, will also meet Shadow Treasury Minister, Owen Smith to discuss Jersey's financial services industry and its strategy for economic growth.
