Plans submitted for Jersey Wetland Centre in St Ouen

Plans for the Jersey Wetland Centre in St Ouen have been submitted.
If approved it would cost £102,000 and be jointly funded by the Tourism Development Fund and the RBC Blue Water Project.
Jon Horn from the National Trust for Jersey said it would give nature lovers unrivalled views of St Ouen's Pond.
He said: "Wetlands are one of Jersey's most precious ecosystems, being refuge to a wide variety of rare and highly threatened species."
Mr Horn added: "It is less well known that wetlands also play an important role in the prevention of flooding and in ensuring clean water supply and storage."
If it gets the go ahead the centre could be open later in the year.
