Jersey politicians approve £27m for social housing projects

Jersey's government will spend an additional £27m on social housing projects after a vote in the States.
Treasury Minister, Senator Philip Ozouf said the money, from extra tax receipts, would help provide jobs as well as maintain properties.
The States agreed to use the money on six projects to provide housing for people.
The projects include building more than 100 homes and refurbishing existing social housing.
Speaking in the States, Senator Ozouf said Jersey could use the money to help the building industry and create employment.
