New £50 parking fine introduced in St Saviour
- Published
A £50 fine has come into force to tackle illegal parking on a road near a college in Jersey.
The fines, on Wellington Road in St Saviour, are being introduced to deter parking on pavements.
Parish Chef de Police Terry Gorvel said the move was partly because of problems created by people collecting or leaving children at De La Salle College.
He said parish officials were concerned that illegal parking might result in an accident seriously injuring someone.
