Jersey motorists told 'stay off roads' during storm
- Published
Motorists are advised not to drive on Sunday evening by Jersey's Transport and Technical Services Department.
The advice not to drive "unless necessary" follows a severe weather warning from the Jersey Met Office, with gusts likely to exceed 80mph.
A storm could lead to trees falling or buildings being damaged, forecasters predict.
Minister Deputy Kevin Lewis said it was unlikely the severity of the storm would be known until late on Sunday.
He advised islanders to "make sure their houses are secure [and] there's nothing that can fly around in the garden".
