RBS has announced dozens of job losses in its international division, including 26 in Jersey.

The bank says efficiency improvements means it has to axe 55 posts throughout RBS International, which made operating profits of £221 million in 2013.

The cuts amount to 5% of the RBS International workforce, 750 of which are in Jersey.

Some staff will be able to move jobs but there will be redundancies, CEO Adrian Gill said.
