About 1,700 litres of hazardous chemicals have been spilled after a tractor flipped over on a rural road.
Emergency services were called to the scene in St Lawrence, Jersey on Saturday morning, where they contained and recovered the liquid.
The vehicle had been carrying fungicide, which can irritate the respiratory system and cause other harmful side effects.
It did not run into any watercourse, Jersey Fire and Rescue said.
The driver is thought to have broken his arm and was taken to hospital.
