Iraq conflict: Gunfire in Kirkuk as tensions escalate

An outbreak of gunfire at a southern checkpoint in Kirkuk has been caught on camera by the BBC.

The seemingly peaceful scene was disturbed by the sound of shooting as cameraman Duncan Stone was filming in the area with correspondent Orla Guerin.

Tensions between Iraq's central government and Kurdish leaders over the disputed region have escalated in recent days.
