Obama: US needs 'soul searching' following violence
On Sunday, Wade Michael Page, 40, killed six and injured three at a Sikh temple in near Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
It was the second mass shooting event in the US in one month, after a gunman opened fire on Colorado cinema-goers, killing 12 and injuring 58.
President Barack Obama said the US needed "soul-searching" on the issues of gun violence.
He added that if reports that the shooter targeted the temple because of worshippers' ethnicity were true, that Americans "recoil against those type of attitudes".
