George W Bush: African-American museum 'tells the truth'
George W Bush has welcomed the opening of the first US national museum about the African-American history in Washington DC.
The former president signed the bill in 2003 to allow the construction of the Smithsonian Institution's latest museum to proceed.
Speaking at the official opening, Mr Bush praised the US for not "hiding its history", saying a "great nation...faces its flaws and corrects them".
