Southwest Airlines pilot: 'There's a hole and someone went out'

A US passenger jet pilot radioed air traffic control to say there was a hole in the plane and someone went out, after an apparent explosion midair.

Southwest Airlines Flight 1380 made an emergency landing in Philadelphia after a window, wings and fuselage were damaged in the incident, officials say.

One woman was killed and seven others needed medical treatment.
